Sarah Rubright, LSW
Asking for help is not an easy thing to do. If it were, we would all do it without hesitation. Instead, we set high expectations for ourselves and are resistant to receiving support. We struggle and accept that lifestyle as our norm. I am here to remind you of two indisputable facts; first, life is challenging. Second - and most importantly - is that we do not have to go through it alone.
As a licensed social worker (LSW), my goal is to provide judgment-free, supportive spaces for clients where we can process, manage daily stressors, and learn healthy coping skills to incorporate in life for years to come. I enjoy working with individuals who experience anxiety and/or depression and welcome young adult clients, adolescents, BIPOC, and clients who identify as LGBTQ+. My approach to therapy includes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as mindfulness and narrative therapy.
While starting therapy can be scary, know that Emmanuel Counseling Center is a growing practice of clinicians committed to our clients' well-being and growth. I am excited that you are considering this investment in yourself and hope you will reach out with any questions.
